Soumya R. H. is a highly skilled User Experience (UX) designer with over 6 years of relevant experience. Currently, she is serving as a Sr UX Designer at athena health, where she is responsible for designing and improving user experiences for the company's products and services. Soumya's expertise in UX design is not limited to her current role. In the past, she has worked as a Visiting Professor at MIT Institute of Design, where she taught courses on physical and cognitive ergonomics, design research methods, 3D modeling, texturing, and advanced lighting methods, and VR simulation projects. Her passion for teaching and sharing knowledge with students from the Immersive Media Design Department is evident from her work at MITID. Soumya is also the Founder and Design Director of Cusmat, where she conducted and managed research programs across the product development life-cycle with a focus on Virtual Reality user interface design research for the Oculus platform. She led a team of User Research of VR hardware and software experiences across all product lines. She was responsible for defining product and market research priorities for the company, growing the team, and establishing research operations. Soumya collaborated with the business team to establish the Insights & Growth team, User Research, and Growth to drive a data-first culture and a deep understanding of users to impact the strategy and direction of the product portfolios. She also drove significant process improvements to increase the efficiency of the research team, including the growth and development of the team. Soumya holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Civil Engineering from NIT Warangal and an Intermediate degree in Science from Naidu +2 Science College, Bhubaneswar. Her tech stack includes designer, Amazon Athena, and Research Scientist.
